“I’m running for Congress because, as a veteran officer of the US Navy and OB-GYN, I have seen so many of the freedoms that we, as Americans hold dear under attack. Growing up, this country provided opportunities for me to achieve success despite my humble beginnings. I cannot remain idle. As the policies of the current administration unfold, I embrace a call to action to stand up and speak out for those who cannot. My goal is to be of service to my constituents and my country. I took an oath when I became a US Naval officer to defend the Constitution and the rights for all citizens.  When I became a physician, I took an oath to be of service to all mankind. Families are struggling financially. Education is under attack from Pre-K to graduate school. America is going in a backward direction. As a retired OB-GYN, I am an advocate for Women’s rights. As the proud mom of two amazing children, I want to ensure that all future generations have a fair chance at success. With your support, I will go to Congress to advocate and represent you.”
